I am trained in both Western, evidence-based approaches to therapy and more somatic, spiritual, and systemic ways of healing. And as a fellow human finding her way in this time between worlds, my toolbox is always evolving.
That said, I carry two consistent approaches to therapy into my work with individuals:

I am a process-based therapist. This means I am paying attention to what works for you, rather than to doing therapy in a particular way. I will shift my approach based on what we're noticing, so that we are working in a way your body, mind, and spirit respond to. At its best, your therapy becomes tailored to meet you exactly where you are.

I am a relational therapist. This means I believe the therapeutic relationship is often where the deepest healing happens. I pay attention to the relationships that shaped your early life, how they might emerge between us, and how we can repair relational wounds together. Ideally, your therapy unlocks safe and supportive intimacy with others in your life.

FAQ
How much does individual therapy cost?
Individual sessions cost $260. I offer a sliding scale based on financial need and reserve several low fee spots ($75-$150 per session) for clients working on the frontlines of our multiple crises. Group therapy is a more affordable and equally (or more) effective option for many clients. If you are wondering about paying for individual therapy, please reach out and we will figure it out together!

Where are you licensed?
I am licensed in NY, which is not currently a PSYPACT state. I can see clients whose primary residence is in NY.

Do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance, meaning I am an out-of-network clinician with your health insurance provider.
Many insurance companies offer out-of-network benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, you will typically be reimbursed 50-85% of each session by your insurance.
I offer complimentary claims submission to your insurance at the end of each month. If you have out-of-network benefits you will receive subsequent reimbursement from your insurance company.
I accept HSA cards.
How frequently will we meet?
We will typically meet weekly. Twice weekly and biweekly are options depending on financial and clinical considerations.​

Where will we meet?
I currently see clients remotely via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Please inquire about in-person sessions if you are located in the Finger Lakes region.

How long does therapy last?
I typically see clients weekly for at least one year, often longer. If you are coming to therapy for support with a specific problem (e.g. sleeplessness, substance use), shorter-term therapy may be indicated. Clients sometimes transition to group therapy or biweekly therapy later in our work together.
